With an emphasis on colour and movement, I aim to cultivate a sense of wonder and connection to different places and experiences. Light, leaves, and urban scenes recur throughout my work, providing gateways into explorations of memory and nostalgia.


Born in 1993 in Cape Town, South Africa, Tessa Moldan is a self-taught artist, based in Brighton since 2022. Recent exhibitions include Water Leaves Reflections, a solo presentation of 15 paintings at Brighton Art Space (2024), The Sussex Contemporary Exhibition 2024, and Glyndebourne's Fair Ground 2023. In 2023, Moldan was selected for Glyndebourne's Teaching Artist Residency.
